I'm your host, Kevin King, and today is January 1st, 2026. First of all, I wanna wish everyone a happy New Year. 0:32 I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and you're ready to crush it in 2026. Today's episode is a special one. 0:39 We're looking back at the most clicked links from the Billion Dollar Sellers newsletter and podcast in 2025. These are the articles, tools, and resources that you, the audience, found most valuable over the past year. 0:51 And you may notice that I sound different in today's episode. With the new year, we've upgraded the way we produce the episodes, and we hope you enjoy the change. 1:00 To kick off today's episode, I've got your Stop Bezos question. Google's effectively destroying the open web by directing 77% of AI summary exit traffic to just one website. What website is that? 1:13 Think about it and I'll give you the answer at the end of the show. 1:15 So let's kick things off with the most clicked link of 2025, and don't worry, all the links to everything in this episode are available in today's show notes. This first link comes from a post by Or Shamosh on LinkedIn. 1:28 It's, it's about something a lot of sellers have been doing, and Amazon has started cracking down hard on it. Here's what that LinkedIn post was about. 1:36 It explained a common strategy where you enroll a new ASIN into Vine, collect 30 reviews, then merge it into your main listing to boost the review count. Sounds familiar? It's not fake. It's not black hat. 1:48 It's been considered a clever launch move for a while now. But here's the thing, Amazon is now treating it as review manipulation. 1:55 Sellers are seeing listings being suppressed, Vine reviews wiped out, and even warnings for abuse of ratings and reviews. And it's not because sellers are trying to cheat. Most sellers think it's a safe tactic. 2:07 It feels compliant. But to Amazon, it violates three key principles. First, reviews must match the exact product experience. Second, variations must be real, not just a review boost strategy. 2:18 And third, aggregating Vine reviews across ASINs distorts buyer trust. If you've done it, you're not alone, but now Amazon knows and they're taking action. 2:28 If you're unsure where the line is or if you've already crossed it, it's time to take a closer look. Better to clean it up now than get hit later. 2:34 The second most clicked link of 2025 was a collection of 22 SOPs for creating product images with AI. 2:41 This resource covers everything from creating basic product images to more advanced techniques like 3D renders, building meta ads using ChatGPT, and analyzing reviews to build personas and optimize your image ideas. 2:53 The highlights include how to create everything from fashion product images featuring a model wearing your product to DSP banners, UGC style content, and flat lay product images. 3:03 There's even an SOP on how to wireframe and generate multi-product ad variations using Claude, Artifacts, and ChatGPT. If you're looking to up your AI image game in 2026, this is a great place to start. 3:15 Before we move on to the next most clicked link, here's a great piece of content you've gotta see. 3:20 It's a YouTube video from Ecom Catalyst where Frank McKinnon interviews an anonymous member of the invite-only Amazon Vine program to reveal how it works from the inside. So here's a short summary of what they discussed. 3:33 First, how one becomes a Vine reviewer. You can't just apply. Amazon invites you based on the helpfulness and consistency of your past reviews. 3:41 And Amazon looks for reviewers who provide detailed, honest feedback and high-quality photos and videos, usually within specific categories. Second, there's information about how the program works from the reviewer side. 3:52 Reviewers have a private dashboard where they can see thousands of items available for free, though they do pay taxes on the value. There are silver and gold tiers. 4:00 Silver members can request items up to $99.99, while gold members, who have written more than 80 reviews, can request items of any value. 4:09 Reviewers are expected to review a high percentage, usually 90%, of the items they receive to maintain their status. Third, there are some important insights for Amazon sellers. 4:18 Vine reviewers are not required or incentivized to leave five-star reviews. In fact, many pride themselves on being critical. 4:25 'Cause reviewers aren't paying for the item, they often focus more on the actual build quality and out of the box experience. 4:31 Poor instructions or cheap packaging are common complaints, and sellers are strictly forbidden from contacting Vine reviewers to influence their reviews. Before the next link, let's look at some interesting stats. 4:41 Looking at the most used e-commerce apps globally, Amazon leads the pack with about 650 million monthly active users from July 2023 to June 2025. 4:51 Shopee comes in second with almost 400 million users, followed by Temu with 246 million. What's notable here is that Amazon, Mercado Libre, and Walmart are the only companies in the top 10 that are not from Asia. 5:06 Now when we look at the global e-commerce giants ranked by gross merchandise value in 2025, Amazon still holds the top spot at $845 billion, with annual growth of 5.6%. But here's what's interesting. 5:19 TikTok Shop is the fastest growing platform at nearly 60% annual growth, coming in at $66 billion in GMV. Next, the third most clicked link of 2025 was a TikTok video from the New York Post. 5:33 It shows Jeff Bezos having his furniture moved using giant cranes and roadblocks. I guess that's one way to do it when you're the world's richest man. 5:42 Next, the fourth most clicked link was the ASIN Profitability Simulator Pro. 5:46 This is a handy calculator that lets you input your selling price, product cost, return rates, and advertising costs, and Amazon fees like referral and fulfillment fees. 5:54 It then outputs your net profit per unit, your margin, your ROI, and your break-even ACoS. 6:00 There's also a break-even analysis that shows you-The minimum viable price you can sell at and the maximum coupon you can offer while still staying profitable. 6:08 And if you're trying to decide between a higher price with lower volume or a lower price with higher volume, there's a price volume analysis that compares the two scenarios side by side. 6:17 Now let me tell you about the Billion Dollar Sellers Network software tool of the day. Hector is a next-gen Amazon ad tech platform built to drive profitable growth for brands and agencies. 6:28 By unifying self-serve DSP, AMC insights and audiences, real-time reporting, and intelligent automation, Hector transforms fragmented ad efforts into a single scalable growth engine that maximizes profitability. 6:41 Hector empowers advertisers with clarity, control, and speed, turning complexity into profitable growth. Next up, the sixth most clicked link of 2025 was a TikTok video from Arthur C. 6:52 Brooks answering this question, "Can money buy happiness?" His answer is yes, but only if you spend it the right way. You can use money to buy stuff, experiences, or time. You can give it away or you can save it. 7:05 Only the last four bring happiness. Buying stuff wears off, but saving money is progress, and progression makes us happy. The seventh most clicked link was a collection of Rufus optimization prompts from ClickUp. 7:18 These are prompts you can adapt for your own Rufus enrichment. If you wanna optimize your listings for Amazon's shopping assistant, this is a great resource. 7:27 Finally, I wanna let you know to mark your calendar for April eighth through twelfth, twenty twenty-six. We're heading to Nashville, Tennessee for BDSS fourteen. That's right, the heart of Music City. 7:37 Econ Mastery AI featuring BDSS will be happening over those five days. It's gonna be an incredible event, and I hope to see you there. 7:45 And here's your parting shot for today from the influential Roman poet Horace, "Well begun is half done." A great reminder as we start this new year. Oh, and remember that question I asked you at the beginning? 7:57 Well, the answer is that seventy-seven percent of US Google AI summary hits of traffic goes to YouTube. Pretty interesting, right? Happy New Year, and have a great weekend, folks. 8:08 I'll see you again on Monday from the AI Bot Summit. This is Kevin King signing off from the Billion Dollar Sellers Podcast. [upbeat music]
