1. How One Becomes a Vine Reviewer

  • The Invitation: You cannot apply; Amazon invites you based on the "helpfulness" and consistency of your past reviews.

  • Selection Criteria: Amazon looks for reviewers who provide detailed, honest feedback and high-quality photos/videos, usually within specific categories.

2. How the Program Works (Reviewer’s Side)

  • The Portal: Reviewers have a private dashboard where they can see thousands of items available for "free" (though they pay taxes on the value).

  • Tiers: There are "Silver" and "Gold" tiers. Silver members can request items up to $99.99, while Gold members (who have written 80+ reviews) can request items of any value.

  • The Quota: Reviewers are expected to review a high percentage (usually 90%) of the items they receive to maintain their status.

3. Insights for Amazon Sellers
