STUMP BEZOS
How much did Meta earn from its ability to turn eyeballs into cash last year?
[ Answer at bottom of email ]
People are buying products directly inside ChatGPT.
Right now. Today.
Product cards. Checkout. No Amazon. No Google. Just a conversation with AI that ends with "Your order is confirmed."
This isn't coming. It's already here. And by Holiday 2026, experts predict ChatGPT could be at parity with Amazon as a shopping channel.
The question isn't whether this affects your business. It's whether your brand will be the one AI recommends or your competitor.
Today at 2pm EST, Norm Farrar and Kevin King are hosting a FREE live webinar where I'll show you exactly how to position your brand for this new AI shopping era and how to become "the answer" when AI recommends products to millions of buyers.
🚨 Here's the reality: This is the biggest shift since the birth of Amazon Marketplace in 2006. The brands that optimize NOW will be the ones AI recommends for years to come. The ones that wait? They'll be invisible.

🔍 GOOGLE SHOPPING JUST BECAME MORE CRITICAL for AI
Researchers at SEM Rush have confirmed that ChatGPT doesn't just search the web when recommending products, it specifically queries Google Shopping to build its product carousels.
When someone asks ChatGPT for product recommendations, it runs two separate searches:
Regular web searches to write the conversational answer
Encoded Google Shopping queries to populate the actual product recommendations
The data is striking: 75% of the time, ChatGPT's top product recommendation comes from Google Shopping's top 3 results.

Despite ChatGPT's efforts to build independent shopping features (like the recent Etsy integration), they still rely heavily on Google Shopping's massive ecosystem for accurate pricing, reviews, and product data, especially during high-stakes events like Black Friday when prices fluctuate constantly.
Your Action Items:
Optimize your Google Shopping feed immediately - it's now a gateway to both Google AND ChatGPT visibility
Keep product listings, prices, and inventory data current across all feeds
Don't neglect Google Shopping performance metrics
Prepare for the future: in-chat purchasing and agentic commerce are coming (think Google's Universal Commerce Protocol)
Your Google Shopping optimization strategy just became 2x more valuable. You're not just reaching Google shoppers, you're feeding the AI systems that millions of users are starting to trust for product recommendations.

💸 2026 AMAZON PRICING DEAD ZONES COSTING YOU $
A pricing dead zone is a price range where increasing your product price actually decreases your gross profit due to Amazon's fee structure changes.
What causes them?
FBA fulfillment fee tier jumps (updated for 2026)
Category referral fee percentage cliffs
How to read these ranges:
When you see a dead zone listed as $10.00–$11.78, here's what it means:
$9.99 = Last price that maximizes profit in this range
$10.00–$11.78 = Dead zone where you earn less or the same profit
$11.79 = First price that nets more profit than $9.99

🪦 The 2026 Dead Zones by Category 🪦
🤱 Baby Products / 💅 Beauty, Health & Personal Care (8% → 15% referral fee jump + FBA tier change)
Large Standard: $10.00–$11.78
Small Standard: $10.00–$11.85 (lighter) / $10.00–$12.00 (heavier)
🥑 Grocery & Gourmet FBA jump only (8% referral throughout):
Large Standard: $10.00–$10.88
Small Standard: $10.00–$10.95 (lighter) / $10.00–$11.09 (heavier)
8% → 15% referral fee cliff (all sizes):
$15.01–$16.23
👕 Clothing & Accessories FBA jump only (5% referral):
Large Standard: $10.00–$10.85
Small Standard: $10.00–$10.92 (lighter) / $10.00–$11.05 (heavier)
5% → 10% referral fee cliff (all sizes):
$15.01–$15.83
10% → 17% referral fee cliff (all sizes):
$20.01–$21.69
📦 All Other FBA Products (15% referral fee)
Large Standard: $10.00–$10.95
Small Standard: $10.00–$11.02 (lighter) / $10.00–$11.18 (heavier)
$50+ FBA fee jump (all sizes):
$50.01–$50.31
💡 Tip: Small Standard size tiers show weight ranges because FBA fee jumps vary by weight. Large Standard fees are fixed across the tier.
Action item: Run your current pricing through these ranges. If you're sitting in a dead zone, you could be leaving money on the table by pricing just a few cents differently.
